Martinenq Launched a Dedicated Perfume-Filling Workshop

Martinenq, a century-old French packaging specialist, expanded its full-service offering to include perfume filling and packing, featuring a dedicated 450 m² workshop in Seine-et-Marne. The move built on a diversification strategy started ten years ago and a growth push that began two years ago, with the new filling operation running for a year.

The facility handled formats from 1.5 ml to 1 L and targeted trial and single-sale formats, with a 1,000-unit minimum order quantity. Martinenq said it can supply bottles and pumps or use client components and integrates printing, sample-case production and secondary packaging into turnkey projects. The company emphasized export potential as it scales the service, giving fragrance brands a one-stop solution that streamlines production and speeds time-to-shelf for small-batch and travel-size launches.

Trend Themes

  1. Turnkey Microbatch Filling — A one-stop small-batch filling and packaging service enables rapid product iteration and niche launches without heavy capital investment by brands.
  2. Travel-size Fragrance Demand — Rising consumer interest in trial and portable formats is creating pathways for frequent limited-edition releases and sampling-led acquisition strategies.
  3. Integrated Packaging-to-shelf Services — Consolidating sourcing, filling, printing and secondary packaging into a single workflow reduces lead times and simplifies international scaling for emerging labels.

Industry Implications

  1. Niche Fragrance Brands — Independent and emerging perfumers can leverage turnkey filling to enter markets quickly with curated small-run collections and bespoke travel offerings.
  2. Cosmetic Contract Manufacturing — Third-party manufacturers that add dedicated perfume filling capabilities can capture higher-margin, end-to-end service contracts from beauty startups.
  3. Retail Travel and Duty-free — Airports and duty-free retailers may expand curated, limited-run fragrance assortments for travelers through partnerships with microbatch fillers.
