OSCAL officially launched its latest large-screen Android tablet titled the 'Oscal Pad 18.' The world premiere for the tablet took place via Aliexpress where the device retails for either $149.99 for the 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD version, or $159.99 for the 12GB RAM / 256GB SSD version. The device is currently available in two colors; either grey or blue, and can be ordered with a folding keyboard and wireless earbuds. The device also includes a kickstand case in its box, making the keyboard an excellent addition to transform the Oscal Pad 18 into a highly portable laptop.
The Oscal Pad 18 is powered by the Unisoc T616 processor, which is a 12nm CPU with eight cores total, two of which run at 2Ghz, and six that run at 1.8Ghz. This is more than enough power to enjoy the main focuses of the tablet, which are for productivity, either at work or at school, or for entertainment.
Both productivity and entertainment are excellent on this device, as its large 16:10 11-inch display runs at a full HD resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. As for the battery life, Oscal states that the Pad 18 is equipped with a large 8,800mAh battery, which is enough juice to power the power-efficient T616 for up to 10 hours. On top of this, the battery can be recharged up to 50% in just one hour, making it ready for another several hours of usage.
One unique aspect of the Pad 18 is that it runs on 'DokeOS_P 3.0,' which is a custom operating system based on Android 13. One of the main benefits of DokeOS is what the company calls 'PC Mode.' This transforms the Android 13 UI into a full Windows-inspired interface complete with multi-window support, resizable windows, a taskbar, and more.
The features on the Pad 18 do not end there, though, as the device support convenient technologies such as face unlock, pressure sensitivity with its drawing pen, smart pre-loading for its applications, and more.
