Biometric Workout Shirts

The OMsignal Shirts Track Wearers' Performance Levels and Statistics

Canadian company OMsignal is launching a new line of biometric smart shirts designed to accurately track wearers' vital statistics and performance levels during exercise.

The OMsignal shirt has a built-in accelerometer as well as an electrocardiogram sensor. The latter allows wearers to monitor variations in their heartbeat over the course of a workout. The shirt is also equipped with calorie sensors.

The OMsignal shirts are designed to compress the wearer's torso, encouraging increased blood flow both during and after exercise. They are also fitted with a compact data-collecting box which relays data via Bluetooth to the accompanying OMsignal app on the wearer's smart phone.

These shirts will be offered in four distinct styles -- sleeveless, under-shirt, casual and long-sleeved -- and six colors. Optional smartphone sleeves make it easier for users to see information displayed on their smartphones.
