Flipkart Launches Its Own E-Commerce Metaverse, 'Flipverse'

E-commerce company Flipkart has debuted "Flipverse," a metaverse-based virtual buying experience. Flipverse users will be able to browse and purchase products in the unique digital-only setting. To create the virtual shopping experience, Flipkart collaborated with eDAO, Meta, and Polygon.

In addition, Flipverse will be accessible on the company's recently released platform, FireDrops. The new launch arrives six months after the release of Flipkart Labs, a new Flipkart initiative aimed at bolstering the company's Web3 innovation.

"The launch of Flipverse will continue to have an impact on innovative industries like e-commerce and enhance the customer experience while delivering a gamified and immersive shopping experience, especially in light of the adoption of the metaverse and Web3 platforms by multiple brands in India," said Naren Ravula, VP and head, Product Strategy and Deployment, Flipkart Labs.
