The Filante SLR Hybrid is a new electric road bike from Wilier Triestina, an Italian bike manufacturer. It is based on the Filante SLR, a race bike used by the WorldTour team Astana Qazaqstan and the sprinter Mark Cavendish. The Filante SLR Hybrid features the same aero-optimized frame and fork as the Filante SLR, but with a hidden electric assist system that adds minimal weight and bulk. The bike has generous tire clearances, disc brakes, and an integrated cockpit with a wireless controller for the motor.
The electric assist system consists of the Mahle X20 hub motor, which weighs only 1,339g and delivers 250W of power and 55Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 236Wh internal battery, which is smaller than some competitors but still offers a decent range potential. The system can be controlled by the iWoc controller on the handlebar or by a compatible head unit via Bluetooth. The bike comes with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL UST wheels, and Vittoria Corsa tires. The Filante SLR Hybrid is available in four sizes and two colors: black/red and black/blue. The price is £11,800 or $15,900.
