Decathlon Unveiled the Elops LD500E Long-Range E-Bike

Decathlon officially launched its latest touring e-bike, the 'Elops LD500E,' in several European markets. Available now in Germany and France, with more countries to come, the Elops LD500E is an accessible, long-range smart bike with a number of convenient features.

The bike boasts a built-in USB port for mobile phone charging combined with a smart, Bluetooth-enabled display to create a connected e-bike. The display showcases metrics such as battery life and speed, but also enables the rider to change the driving mode simply by touching the desired mode. This includes uphill, flat ground, and speed modes, as well as a fourth mode for walking assist, if the rider does not wish to ride the bike.

The LD500E's most attractive feature, though, is its range. With a 250W motor and a 504 Wh battery, this bike achieves more than 115km, or 71 miles, on a single charge.

The Elops LD500E can be picked up at its MSRP of $1,600 USD.
