I've always wished that my Mother would have gone with her original plan to name me 'Star.' When I tell people that, they typically furrow their brows, their expressions drowning in confusion. Sometimes they even ask 'why would you want to be named Star?'

'I don't really know,' I reply. 'It's just appealing to me, I guess.'

I'm not the type of person who usually has an incredible amount of meaning behind everything I do or say, or my likes and dislikes. I always think that if my first thought is 'I love it,' then I love it! When something appeals to me, I just go with it. Sometimes, I don't know why... the best way I can explain it is to say 'it's just me.'

What is unique that's not in your bio?

I don't like the feeling of clothing right after it comes out of the dryer. I wish more people would smile, more often.

How do you define cool?

Confidence and the ability to love other peoples differences along with the strength to never drown out your own difference to fit in. Cool is just the organic version of yourself.

What is your secret to uncovering trends?

Thinking of a normal object, then visualizing the super ninja version of it and hunting it down via the internet!

What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?

You get to clean you head out. Creative, trendy people usually have a lot going on in their minds all day. This is the place to view other peoples findings, and write your own trends so that finally, someone can see the great info you've found!

What is your favorite trend?

Girly vintage furniture. Even when I don't have room for more furniture, if I see a white vintage dresser with pink knobs, I'll want it.

What are your tips for writing a juicy post?

Have a unique voice. If you're quirky, that's fine, let it show. Add a short, quick blurb about how you personally feel about the topic to spark some debate. Add a captivating title to your post.

How do you reset to be creative?

Intense workouts usually help the most. Taking care of any stressful situation is good, too, because it frees my mind so I can focus more on creative things, rather than worries.

What inspires or excites you?

I definitely get excited when I hear about new ways to go green. Especially when you can do it and still be hip and not feel like you're missing out. I get inspired by simply stepping outside of my house. By talking to friends. Reading. My mind is always going, it never sleeps.
