Zombies Against Consumerism

Zombiecon Encourages Amy Winehouse Costumes|
This Halloween marks the fourth year of Zombiecon. The event is a flash-mob of horror for rebels without a pulse; zombies roam the streets, invading posh shops, restaurants and generally upsetting mega brands. Their intention is to make a not-so-subtle statement about America’s rampant consumerism. Rather brilliantly, participants are encouraged to dress as specific characters, such as a zombiefied Amy Winehouse (I don’t know if there is an un-zombie one) and zombie Hunter S. Thompson. Zombiecon takes place on Saturday, October 18, the week before Halloween. “All undead are entreated to join this, our fourth annual ghoulish spree of shopping, bar-hopping and horrifying Manhattan street theatrics,” Zombiecon.com says.
