The zombie cupcake turns a delicious sweet treat into an oozing taste explosion.
From the side, this dessert looks like an ordinary fluffy muffin just waiting for you to take a bite. Don't let the star sprinkles fool you however, this sweet snack is deadly. Fondant is used to make a thick swirl that covers the cupcake and then, a big chunk is taken out of the side so it seems like a flesh bite by a living corpse. The pastry is then airbrushed with brown food coloring and the bite mark is stippled in with edible cherry gel. To create the bloody cherry on top, just roll fondant into the red coloring and place a tooth pick on top.
Once the initial zombie cupcake is done, you may add sprinkles, chocolate shavings or just leave the ghoulish cupcake bare.
