Ziro is a robotics kit that gives kids the ability to build their own robots and control them through a unique manual interface. Rather than a standard RC controller or something more digital like an app, the Ziro robots are controlled by a glove-like device that senses users' hand movements.

The Ziro robotics kits come with some essential pre-programmed hardware -- things like two-wheeled motor modules and ball-bearing steering mechanisms. Aside from those, children are free to get as creative as they please with the design of their bots. The kit comes with pre-made options, but the real fun is in adapting household materials like cardboard to create unique machines.

Perhaps the most fun that kids will have with theirs bots is controlling them with the smart glove. The device recognizes gestures and translates them into robotic movements.
