 Orange Pay As You Go Campaign You may have been noticing small floating orange coloured creatures at the bottom of websites you are visiting lately. The little raccoon on a string finally peaked my interest to unearth out what he was about. This is what I found… U.K. based personal communications services company Orange, is set to launch the world’s first Internet balloon race, designed by Poke and i-level, as part of their Orange Animals Pay As You Go marketing campaign. The race runs for 7 days, from June 23 to June 30, with a grand prize of a luxury trip to the island of Ibiza. Brand Republic explains, “Contestants all begin from the same starting point, the Balloon Race home page. Entrants then race their balloons across a series of sites, boosting their balloon as they go along to make it travel faster. Players will be able to choose their own Orange animal balloon, which is powered by user-friendly controls that pop-up on screen, tracking their balloon as the race progresses.” Sounds like this would have been a lot of work to setup, but should result in a fun journey for all.  Iain Tait, creative director, Poke London, said: "The idea of floating thousands of balloons across the Internet got everyone at Poke massively fired-up. We've loved turning hundreds of sites into a huge playing field for what promises to be an awesome race with an amazing prize."
