Basic lighting used to mean candles, then lightbulbs, more recently. These wooden stick ceiling lights define a different sort of minimalist aesthetic that's certainly contrived, yet organically elementary.

FILD takes components like wooden canes, hollows them out and then fits them with the integral working parts of electrical light fixtures. LED lights enable these slender pendant lamps to hold their slim cylindrical forms so that they assume the slightest of silhouettes. Still visible is the gorgeous wood grain texture that wraps around each lumber rod, and this is cleanly capped by a metal head that houses the bright source of the illuminator. These wooden stick ceiling lights can be hung with the best aesthetic results when they're installed in a rhythmic series.
