Retro-Futuristic Lighting

Verner Panton's Wire Lamp Offers an Explosion of Color

The Wire lamp is something that could have easily come out of the 70s. Its retro futuristic aesthetic is exactly what I would have imagined gracing the home of the Formans in 'That 70s Show.' Strangely enough, although its aesthetics scream of a certain era, the Wire lamp is also made timeless because of this glaring detail.

Designed by Verner Panton, the Wire lamp is such a statement piece of home decor, it would fit into pretty much any living space. Looking like an inverted light bulb, its wire steel base is topped with a colorful plastic lid that is available in a variety of colors including white, yellow, brown and orange.

Known for creating 'explosions of color,' as his site states, Verner Panton's Wire lamp does not disappoint on this front.
