Though the term itself might raise a few eyebrows, Firebox's Wine Condoms are a practical product for wine aficionados. The faux prophylactics use virtually the same system as their pregnancy-preventing kin to keep wine fresh for drinking after a bottle's been opened.

Wine Condoms come in the same square plastic wrapping that regular condoms come in. Wine Condoms, however, are crafted from rubber rather than latex. When rolled onto the neck of a wine bottle, the Wine Condoms' rubber creates an air- and water-tight seal thanks to shrink-to-fit technology. This same technology also means that Wine Condoms fit on any shape and size of wine bottle.

Since the Wine Condoms have such a slim profile, they don't add any height to wine bottles. This means that, unlike other wine stoppers, they won't make it difficult to keep a wine bottle upright in the fridge.
