The Wedding Machine from Concept Shed Expedites Weddings

Vegas' quickie wedding chapels could go out of business forever if the Wedding Machine from Concept Shed ever takes off. The Wedding Machine is a custom device built to help expedite the often long and drawn out process of getting married.

The machine has a motion sensor that invites passing pedestrians to get married. The machine has four different marriage options -- straight, gay lesbian or BFF -- and costs one British pound to use. After you insert your pound, the machine plays a small snippet of "Here Comes the Bride." You are read brief vows and prompted to press the "I do" key. After the formalities, rings are dispensed and you are married! A receipt will then print giving you a 10 percent discount for a divorce attorney.

While the Wedding Machine from Concept Shed seems to have been made in good fun, I wonder how far we actually are from marriage services becoming automated like this. I'll bet dollars to donuts that this shows up in Vegas sooner rather than later. Stats for Coin-Operated Matrimony Machines Trending: Older & Mild
