The outrageous design for the upcoming Waterflux Art Museum and Alpine Ice Research Station looks downright otherworldly. French architects R&Sie(n) sought to reconcile organic forms and materials with reality-bending design from a plastic dimension.

The Waterflux Art Museum is set to be completed in 2009, and is located in Évolène, Switzerland.

As François says in their web-site, scenarios of hybridization, grafting, cloning, morphing give rise to perpetual transformation of architecture which strives to break down the antinomies of object/subject or object/territory. (archdaily)
