Even though this wall-mounted candleholder is decidedly low-tech, there's something wonderfully contemporary about it. Perhaps it's the precise industrial manufacturing of this home accessory that makes this old-fashioned item look completely up-to-date.

Since people still love the ambiance that candlelight provides, Fort Standard looked for a way to bring tall and elegant tapers off the table. The designer developed a delicate hinge system, whereby a slender metal rod cantilevers out to support the wax-and-wick source. A ring on the end is intended to clasp a small but beautiful stone base. The marble Pivot candle holder can be placed within this axial arm to move mood lighting from the dining room into the lounge or the bedroom. When it isn't in use, it would go barely detected amidst the decor.
