'Ventusky' is a weather map developed by the Czech Republic-based meteorological firm InMeteo that brightens up the weather. Many standard presentations of weather, from the weather channel on TV to online resources, can be dry -- and not in the meteorological sense. Ventusky is a beautiful weather map that provides all the weather data any layman would need in a format that's easy to use and understand.

The Ventusky web app covers the entire Earth, presenting the movement of air around high and low pressure zones across the planet. Users can also apply several different filters to the map to observe conditions that include temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, wind speed, air pressure, lightning activity, snow cover and freezing level (i.e. the height at which 0 degrees Celsius occurs.)
