What's missing from Vegas? Access? check. Excess? check. Success? check. Gigantic observation wheel? Uh-oh. It's not because the money people at Voyager Entertainment insist that a 600 foot observation wheel will be built in Vegas, it's just a matter of where and when. A couple of locations have already been scrapped because the hotel plans fell through.
Implications - Even areas like Las Vegas were hit by the recession to a certain extent, causing communities, regions and countries all over the world to seek ways to attract tourists and boost the local economy. This calls government officials and architects to get much more creative with their attractions, with things like Vegas' Giant Observation Wheel serving the perfect amount of novelty and function.
