 For Boys Who Have Everything He’s got the million dollar home, the car collection, and gobs of gadgets. He already has everything, what more could he need? How about a designer urinal for the master suite? The fixture caused a stir at the Broward Red Cross Designers’ Show House in Fort Lauderdale. At Turnberry Ocean Colony, a 260-unit complex of multi-million dollar beachfront condos, urinals have been installed in the priciest of properties. In January, The New York Times reported that home urinals are becoming “a definite must for luxury homes.” The trend also has been reported in the National Post in Toronto, Ontario, and the Financial Times in London.  Shane Judd, Kohler's product manager for commercial fixtures, says urinals have grown more popular in homes during the past two years. The key markets are on the coasts.
"There is an appeal if something is unique," he says. "I think there has been some reluctance in the past, but the fact that we are coming up with urinals that are aesthetically pleasing helps. It is something really different, and it almost looks like a piece of art."
