There is a gigantic black hole in the heart of Stockholm, and a Danish-Swedish cooperative effort is going to fill that hole with a pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly recreation area.

Slussen will become an urban area that encourages the movement of citizens and tourists through a new world of urban space where artwork and a picturesque summer stroll are mixed with outdoor theaters and dining options. The traffic of cars and buses will be hidden by the gently sloping hillside.
