The Fujitsu F703i is the world's thinnest waterproof mobile phone measuring 17.9m thick and can be submerged in 3 feet depth of water for 30 minutes. It has a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT LCD with 1.3-megapixel camera and a MicroSD slot for more storage. It is available in white, pink, and black colors through NTT DoCoMo next month.

Implications - Our increasingly connected mainstream culture has a tech addiction. Gadget manufacturers are responding by creating products that are virtually impervious to the elements. These next-gen gadgets let consumers take their prized tech possessions anywhere they go -- including underwater.
