Griffith University in Australia has made Twitter a required class for journalism students. The Twitter class recognizes the importance of Twitter, especially in situations like this year’s Iran elections.
What’s also curious is the intended purpose of the Twitter class. The Twitter class seems equally focused on the content of students’ tweets as on teaching the technology. It would be interesting to know how the class is being taught, considering that Twitter hasn’t been around long enough for professors to claim authority on the subject.
