In today’s age of tech-savvy kids, toy manufacturers are swamping the marketplace with a whole range of electronic toys, that run the gamut from laptops to digital movie-makers…. all created specifically for kids. Even preschoolers are showing that they have to mental capacity and fine motor skills needed to master technology and seemingly adult peripherals, leaving parents and educators in awe. The 2007 Toy Fair to be held next week is evidence of this growing trend, as kids toys become faster and more comprehensive, unleashing technology that falls in step with today’s business machines… in a kid-friendly way.

If you suspect that kids today are growing up too fast, next week's American International Toy Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center may be all the proof you need. In keeping with the general trend toward "age compression" or KGOY (industry shorthand for "kids getting older younger"), toy manufacturers will be introducing a host of adult technologies aimed at small children -- including kid-friendly laptops, graphics tablets, digital cameras and a host of other high-tech items. These toys are mostly fine but teaching children that proper rules only benefit everyone in the environment they apply to and that those incharge of those rules must have rules that forgive when breaking the rules was a weakness or distraction or true forgetfullness like the often misunderstood commandments of israel and jesus.
