Thousands of Guitar Hero fans will go crazy for the Guitar Hero III touch-screen and magnetic switch. No, this isn’t some thing new on the market in time for Christmas. It’s actually the creation of Cyberpyrot, a creative gamer who installed the touchscreen himself as well as a magnetic switch to enable play with a magnetic pic, so now it “plays much better than before.” Gizmodo even has a video of it!

The touchscreen itself mirrors the action on the TV and something else: it allows you to control the whammy bar by sweeping your fingers across the screen.
