Top Modified People - Gawking at Oddballs (GALLERY)

There is a whole counter-culture of people who have tattooed, implanted, and pierced themselves to a degree that can be uncomfortable to look at. Blogger Deputy Dog has compiled his top ten list of self modified individuals with the stories of how they became who they are. Some people want to look like animals, some like having horns or spikes protruding from their skulls, and some try to detract from medical conditions that would garner sideways glances anyway.

The site features website links to many of the people featured. You’ll also find videos highlighting some of them, and other videos of people having their tongues split like a snake or being branded like livestock.

Be forewarned, the images and language are not suitable for children or the faint of heart.
