A unique development by researchers from the Japanese school, it is essentially protective enamel armor that could eliminate the need to brush teeth.

A thin film, measuring a mere 0.004 millimeters in thickness, the Tooth Patch by Kinki University has many benefits besides dispensing with teeth brushing. It can prevent decay, repair damaged enamel and even make teeth less sensitive. Made from hydroxyapatite, the main mineral in tooth enamel, it will take five years or more before it can used in used in practical dental treatment. Nevertheless, for cosmetic treatments, it will only be three years.
