Todd Hido's Photographs are a Perfect Background for Ghosts

By: Jessica Marcel - Published:   Updated: Jul 18 2011 • References: toddhido & art-milk
Photographer Todd Hido captures scenes that are conspicuously empty. The lack of human (or animal) subjects seems purposeful, and it's easy to imagine that there indeed are subjects in the images, just not visible to the human eye. Each of the images in the gallery above brings to mind ghost stories and haunted houses.

Todd Hido's work is straight out of Poltergeist. To see more of it, check out his site.

Implications - The eerie, mysterious air behind Tod Hido's photographs are suspenseful and enticing to the thrill-seeking audience. Hazy, unfocused and dark, the photos are ghostly in nature, and what lies beneath them is up to the viewers' imagination.
