Time-Shredding Calendar - Chrono-Shredder by Susannah Hertriech (GALLERY)

Susannah Hertrich’s calendar does indeed make time tangible. You can literally see the past day disintegrate and perhaps wonder if you did anything worthwhile in the past 24 hours! It is a hybrid between a calendar, a clock and an automatic paper shredder. It is truly automatic because there is no on/off button to stop it. The chrono-shredder is a type of concept design German born Hertrich said is a “memento vivere” - “remember that you also have to live your life.” She came up with her idea when she was looking into human hibernation research. If humans could ever choose to hibernate, the chrono-shredder could well cure any hibernation obsession as she says when they wake up to one big mess! Source: susannahertrich Via: yankodesign |
