The Zugo EV is Inspired by the Legendary Eastern Bloc Auto the Yugo

The Zugo concept car is easily the most humorous EV ever designed. The Zugo was created by Croatian designer Milos Paripovic and is inspired by the cars made by the Zastava Corporation. The Zastava Corporation is a now defunct automaker famous for giving the world the Yugo.

The Yugo was renowned for its terribleness; parts would randomly fall off, the electric system would fail and it is rumored that its rear window defroster was designed to keep your hands warm as you pushed it. The Zugo is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Zastava's past with its eerily similar design and rear hand print markers that let you know where to place your hands when you need to push. All jokes aside, the Zugo is a serious concept and it seems like it would actually have a shot at strong sales in Eastern Europe. Consumers love nostalgia, especially when it comes in the form of a compact electric car. Stats for Remixed Iron Curtain Rides Trending: Older & Average
