Xbox Unveils 'The Xbox Mastercard' Credit Card for Gaming Enthusiasts

Microsoft has tapped Barclays US Consumer Bank to introduce the Xbox Mastercard, a new payment method for gamers who frequently purchase video games and add-ons. Initially, the Xbox Mastercard will be available exclusively to Xbox Insiders residing in the 50 United States, with access starting on September 21. This announcement is Xbox's way of providing additional value to those interested in purchasing games for its system, as each purchase will allow the cardholder to accumulate points that can be used in the Xbox store.

For early adopters, there are enticing incentives, including a bonus of 5,000 points, equivalent to $50, and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for users who haven't tried out the feature yet. Microsoft currently offers a selection of five distinct design options for the Xbox Mastercard. Additionally, customers can personalize the card by adding their own nickname, similar to a Gamertag.
