As the world's population burgeons and living space diminishes, architects have begun to literally think outside the box when it comes to finding ways to house everyone in comfortable AND attractive surroundings.

Instead of constructing communities horizontally, they are lifting their eyes upward. Yes; a group of feng-shui influenced designers in Shenzhen, China seem to have hit upon a fabulous solution: behold the wave of the future: behold the 'vertical city.'

Implications - China is always on the forefront of innovation -- or so it seems from all of the news that I have been reading recently.
