Kolache Factory is starting the new year off on a tasty note with the debut of its latest pastry: The Texas Apple.
While flavored croissants are certainly not new to Kolache Factory, the new apple pie-inspired flavor has not graced the menu before. In fact, The Texas Apple has been in development for about four years now, but the pandemic held up the release of the new flavor. Fortunately, in January 2024, fans will finally be able to get their hands on The Texas Apple, which consists of a buttery, flaky croissant pastry filled with apple pie filling, gouda cheese, bacon, fresh jalapenos, and brown sugar, all topped with chopped pecans. As Dawn Nielsen, Chief Operating Officer, teases, "This croissant will blow your mind. It’s like a charcuterie board in a flaky, buttery croissant. It just confuses your brain. But has such a stunning flavor profile you won’t be able to stop eating it.”
