As the technology world grows and expands, we are constantly being introduced to more powerful and efficient modes of computing. But are they this sexy and help maximize your workspace. Let’s find out how.
The ExpressCard Standard was created by a coalition of PCMCIA member companies including Dell, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Lexar Media, Microsoft, SCM Microsystems and Texas Instruments. ExpressCard is roughly half the size and somewhat lighter than today's PC Card and will allow consumers to add hardware capabilities such as memory, wired and wireless communications cards and security devices by inserting these modules into their systems.
Belkin’s new notebook expansion dock connects to any notebook equipped with an ExpressCard port through a single cord and will provide throughput up to 2.0Gbps. Using ExpressCard, rather than traditional USB, quadruples the available bandwidth and does not impact throughput with other USB devices.
