The Macallan and Bentley Motors work together to create the Macallan Horizon, which is a limited-edition single malt whiskey that is highlighted by its side-laying bottle. It replicates the look of a car and is made with a sustainable approach in mind.
The bottle features six upcycled and ethically sourced materials, which include copper collected from Macallan's old distillery. It draws aluminum shavings from Bentley's car production along with wood, and low-carbon leather. For a premium refined look, Bentley Crown Cut is added to the walnut veneer. The aforementioned carbon-neutral leather is finished in rich chestnut for both protection and elegance.
In terms of the libation itself, it is created by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell. Six sherry-seasoned oak casks were selected as a representation of both brands' heritage. It blends dried fruit and spice flavors with undertoned notes of oak and leather.
