The Family Nanny is a Super-Efficient Robot

The Chinese robotics company Siasun has built a robot, also known as The Family Nanny, that has the ability to spot gas leaks, monitor your health, talk to you when you are alone, communicate with the police, send text messages and take phone calls when you are not at home. The purpose of ‘The Family Nanny’ is to take care of elderly people, as opposed to a human caretaker.

The Siasun robot has conversational software that enables it to talk, and its physical detection system can detect and alert in an emergency. The Family Nanny runs on batteries that last for eight hours per charge.
