While some toy car enthusiasts continue to play with their treasures, The Bug Box takes it to the next level to recreate these toys into life size vehicles.
The Bug Box is a German tuning company that turns all old things new. The company is known for its superior craftsmanship of the 1979 Volkswagen Beetle ‘Sand Scorcher’ and now another iconic piece is added to its collection, the 1982 ‘Wild Willy.’
The Wild Willy has been replicated into a 1:1 scale that’s accompanied with a giant toy controller. The car model is equipped with a low mounted rear engine, a plastic body and a short wheelbase. This model is a one-time project and it won’t be common to see it ripping the road. For all those folks who go nuts over retro toy cars, the replicated Wild Willy is sure to bring back refreshing memories.
