“Sexting” is a new term for the common practice among teens of sending provocative, racy photos or text messages to flirt with the opposite sex. Experts say that 1/3 of 10-12 graders have sent or received ‘sexting’ messages via cell phone. For kids in grades 4 to 6, 10% have admitted to the same.

Is Sexting harassment? Child endangerment? Some think so. A 16-year-old was arrested and charged after he encouraged sexting from a 15-year-old girl. Sexting raises a whole set of legal issues.

Attorneys like Dallas lawyer, Clint David say the practice is trouble waiting to happen. "It is the height of insanity to take a picture of yourself naked and send it to another person", says David. (the33tv)
