Some people just have too much time on their hands. At Makezine, we learn how to use technical gadgetry to allow our favorite household plants to “talk.” As the website advertises, ““Make plants talk! They’’ll Twitter when they have to be watered (and more).” This unique and somewhat bizarre idea seems like a lot of work for a simple “Twitter.” How about a, ““Hello, owner, how are you?””

As this truly innovative website suggests, with enough machinery-knowledge, you can have a talking plant as well. You can even set up your plant to message you at work and let you know when it’‘s thirsty at home and then, ever so gratefully, send you a love message when it has been well taken care of.  There’‘s nothing quite like positive reinforcement from your mini-palm tree!
