The Sylvio Giardina SS12 collection is inspired by the notions of veils and clouds, both of which are often the subject of a person's imagination. Thus, the sculptural forms of each design in this collection also play on a person's imagination. At times sinuous and others inflated, the line has no rhyme or reason to the silhouettes aside from the fact that they all stem from freely moving objects.
Titled Nuptus, the Sylvio Giardina SS12 collection is airy and liquid-like. Fashioned out of polyethylene foam and jersey, pieces have Swarovski crystals riddled throughout for a more dramatic effect. Interestingly enough, as fluid as each outfit is, there is a rigidity present as well that works to balance and ground the designs.
