“If you’re going to San Francisco ...” or Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Tempe, San Diego, San Jose or Oakland, you can jump on a Megabus.com for only a buck (plus a 50 cent reservation fee)! But hurry, because there are a limited number on each route. Megabus.com gave away 25,000 free seats in 2006 and always offers $1 bus rides on intercity routes. If you want to ride on one of the blue and yellow buses, you have to buy a ticket from their online-only scheduling center.

Need to expand service Nationwide. Nice BUT those damn stops enroute. Nice for luxury travel NOT for Be there Tomm Night travel. Wonder how seating etc is for 1.50.

I was running the math on megabus and it comes out to about 8 cents a mile to travel with them from Chicago to Kansas City. ($41 one way) That's an amazing deal. I checked for routes in the Los Angeles area and it doesn't seem to operate anymore out west anymore. I'm sure many former customers will miss them. Another victim of the down economy I'm sure.
