These Endangered Species are Designed Like Day of the Dead Skulls

Artist Justin Steinburg has created a series of sugar skull animals for a Day of the Dead-themed World Wildlife Fund ad campaign.

What these beautiful sugar skull animals all have in common is that they are all considered to be endangered species. By drawing the faces of these endangered species in the traditional Day of the Dead fashion, Justin hopes that it will force us to "celebrate the beauty of these endangered animals while they are still alive." There is something truly haunting in seeing these animals portrayed in such a way. The sugar skull design evokes the feeling that the panda, tiger and gorilla have all been marked for death.

Great art can makes us truly feel and when we feel we can hopefully be moved to action. Stats for Endangered Sugar Skull Animals Trending: This Year & Hot
