The Casa de los Pinos in El Esparragal, Murcia, Spain, proves that sustainable living does not have to conflict with style. Sleek and smart, this stunning feat of awe-inspiring architecture by XPIRAL lets nature and light regulate its environment. Almost completely enclosed in glass, the futuristic open concept blends with the surrounding area harmoniously. The building materials for this ultra-modern eco-friendly home were sourced directly from the local area, saving thousands of dollars and mucho carbon emissions.  In terms of high-tech building features, Casa de los Pinos makes liberal use of engineered Robertson sandwich panels, “heat mirror” glazing and A.S.K. grill equipped windows mitigate the effects of the local climate.
