The culinary and at-home decor blog 'Cupcakes and Cashmere' has released a segment on 'Strawberry Bonbons.' The small frozen pops are excellent for an end of summer event, and moreover provide a chilled take on truffles.
Truffles are known for their lavish tastes and qualities. Although enjoyed at room temperature, Emily Schuman has updated them here by way of strawberry ice cream. The author made the frozen treat of fresh fruits, and given the all too sweet flavor of the dessert, she toned it down here with a dark bittersweet chocolate coating.
As Schuman points out in her entry, similar icy bonbons may be made with salty caramel or peanut butter ingredients, all dependent upon the cravings of the chef.
