Strava Joins Forces with Spotify for Musical Control
Strava recently announced its partnership with Spotify in order to allow its users to seamlessly switch between apps and integrate their listening controls between the two. Prior to this, those that were using Strava had to switch to Spotify to control their music and now, there is a small widget on the bottom left of the recording screen for easy control.
To click this, it brings a popup to the map and unveils options to pause or switch music. This is to grow their overall audience as Strava claims that it has 100 million users worldwide and Spotify has 500 million listeners. VP of Strava Mateo Ortega notes, "This new feature further solidifies Strava's position at the center of connected fitness and continues to demonstrate the power of the global community of active people on Strava."
