LifeStyles Condoms have a new television spot running that is direct and to the point, with no double entrendes or locker room humor.
The spot is for the latex-free SKYN Condom and was shot in dim hallways, dim bedrooms and dim cars with steamed windows. It shows couples making out, which often leads to the need for a condom.
The spot was done by AMP and will run online at MTV.com and ESPN.com.
Implications - A company can appeal to younger markets by creating adds that show honest and edgy images which were once considered taboo. The shift in what is deemed acceptable for advertising, films and television allows for businesses to use more controversial imagery to push the envelope and attract viewers with shocking material.
