These are steampunked gas masks and wearable works of art from Bob Basset. You can buy them all online, and the artist encourages you to actually wear them.

On Bob Basset's site there is also a collection of wings, body armor, and jaw-dropping bags--all with his signature macabre touch. I want them all, except perhaps the one with a built-in knife.

Implications - Steampunk has always been interesting due to its artistic style, and it has caught the eye of many fashion designers. These creative individuals are using this sub-genre as a source of inspiration for their works, creating some of the most outrageous clothes available today. With sci-fi and subculture being so prevalent, steampunk combines the best of both worlds and will continue to influence the creative crowd.
