Celebrity Knits for Charity - Stars for 'Save the Children' (VIDEO)
Stars for 'Save the Children'

Celebrity charities usually come in the form of a check or perhaps a public appearance, neither one requiring much of a commitment. Think Angelina or Oprah. Others lend their names for fund raising (Michael J. Fox and others.) But other celebrities are setting an example for all of us by doing something we all can do: making a simple project that has direct and immediate impact.

A handful of stars are taking baby steps that anyone can follow, or, more accurately, baby caps. Gwyneth Paltrow, Rebecca Romijn and Debra Messing, among others, are supporting the Save the ‘Children’s Knit One, Save One’ campaign by knitting or crocheting caps for newborns in need. They’re soooo cute. Yes, the babies, but I mean the bonnets. Take a look and try to match the celeb with her cap.
