Stability AI debuts Stable Audio, a new AI-powered audio platform that enables consumers to create music with artificial intelligence. Stable Audio was trained using Stable Diffusion, the company's diffusion model. It is able to generate unique sounds of different lengths, which allows consumers to create songs, background audio, effects, and more. Stability AI uses “a dataset consisting of over 800,000 audio files containing music, sound effects, and single-instrument stems” as well as text metadata from AudioSparx.
The partnership with AudioSparx, a stock music licensing company, enables Stable Audio to utilize copyrighted material on its platform. Users can subscribe to a free version that offers 45 seconds of audio for 20 tracks a month, or opt for the longer-term Professional and Enterprise subscriptions.
