As minimalist as the Span Table may seem at first, there is a boldness to the clean lines that add a bit of pizzazz to the overall design. Namely, it is the sharply angled, triangular supports that provide this visual stimulation. Nevertheless, the modern vibe of the Span Table is softened by the use of wood, which gives it an overall warm aesthetic.
Designed by Matthew Jones, an architect based in London, England, the Span Table is also deceivingly bulky. In reality, it is made up of thin planes of material that gives it a lightweight finish. The Span Table is crafted out of sweet chestnut and toughened glass. The legs have been jointed with bespoke corners mimicking their geometric shape. When lit from above, this touch is evident through the translucent glass.
